Blog Critique Queue Opens Up September 26

You peeps have been knocking down my virtual door wanting a free blog critique. Well, I’ve been dying to unbolt the lock and let you in… and I will in 11 days!

Blog Critique Queue Details

On Monday, September 26 at 10:00 am EST, I’ll open my critique queue for THREE DAYS ONLY. Why just three days? Well, as you know, I only do one critique a week. I’m making 26 slots available (6 month’s worth) and I know they’ll go quickly so we’ll make this short and sweet. BUT I’ve got a twist…

  • The first 13 slots with be first-come, first-serve. So be here at 10 am sharp!
  • The next 13 slots will be randomly drawn from the rest of the entries.

I’m doing this because I know life (and time zones) may prohibit you from being here at 10 am sharp. But I don’t necessarily want to make it all a drawing either. So this is a happy medium.

How will you be able to enter? I’ll have a form linked up on the 26th for you to enter. I’ll keep it simple with just name, email, blog url. If you get on the list, I’ll let you know what number of the 26 you are and also request more info like what your blog is about, your blog goals and your struggles (all of which can be fleshed out with my eBook as a guide by the way!). By the way, there are still a few names left on the current list so the NEW list will start around late October/early November.

If you want critiqued, there are a few criteria:

  • You’re a blogging lady, chick, girl, female.
  • You post at least once a week.
  • This critique isn’t for business websites or blogs that are part of business websites (contact me if you’d like a critique for your biz).
  • You need to be engaged with Momcomm in some way. Tweet with me, leave a comment from time to time, etc. Nothing’s set in stone but please don’t enter your name and never come back. It’s not fair to you devoted (and soon-to-be-devoted) Momcommers.
  • You come with an open mind. The point of a critique is to learn and grow so you have to promise that you’ll still like me, even if you don’t take all my suggestions.

Are you as excited as I am? I can’t wait to see a fresh new group of bloggers ready to up their awesome!

Blog Critique Week Starts on SITS Girls

But wait, there’s more! Kat and Fran from SITS Girls and I have gone a little batty. We’re critiquing TEN bloggers next week over at SITS to celebrate my crazy successful eBook, the DIY Blog Critique. Be sure to stop by Monday… there will be two critiques posted from Monday through Friday, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. I’m sure you’ll learn a ton!

Come Visit Me at Kludgy Mom

What? There’s more? Why yes, I DO sound like an infomercial. Heh.

But this rocks… I’m over at Kludgy Mom’s blog guest posting today. I’m talking about five things you need to critique your blog (number 4 may surprise you but I promise it’s important)! Stop by and see me in her lair of awesome.

Leave me any questions you have about the critique queues in the comments or just a “heck ya!” comment will do too. Then go see me at Kludgy Mom.

NOTE: My server went down on September 20 and due to a bad weekly backup file, we had to restore from a September 11 backup. I was able to get back this content from Google’s cached pages (yay!), but the 20+ comments are gone.

Susan- Oh I totally admire all the ladies that are putting themselves out there for a critique! If you want a critique the stealthy way, consider getting my eBook. There’s a code this week at SITS to get it for $11 and it’s about as close to in my head as you’ll get!

  2. I may purposely get up at 6:30 a.m. on Monday just so I can be ready since 10 a.m. your time is 7 a.m. my time.

  3. So excited and am definitely hoping to get a top spot. I am internally struggling with my blog layout and design and am wondering if switching from blogger to wordpress would be better for my ultimate goals, ugh. My ideas of blogging have definitely changed over the past 3 years, and I never would have thought I would have “tough” decisions to make about it. Definitely think I need your book, maybe it will calm the frantic swirling thoughts in my head..lol

Yep- blogging has so many facets to it doesn’t it? The first part of my ebook goes over defining what your blog is about and setting goals. Also, a lot of the design section ties into branding. It’s $11 until Tuesday with the code over at SITs (look at the bottom of the blog critiques under the Learn section).

See you here on Monday then for the queue opening up. It’s an exciting day!

hi there Melissa, just love your name :)
hoping to grab a seat at the table. I’ve been blogging only since July but am SO proud of myself for getting this far in such short time. I work full time and blog as often as humanly possible.
